STANDARD CHARTERED
BE THE 12TH WOMAN
PROBLEM

Standard Chartered are on a journey to lift participation in women’s football. We know participation in sport during girls’ formative years drastically decreases around the world from age 14 due to a mix of social, societal, personal and cultural issues.
INSIGHT

The advantages of playing sports are clear. From excelling in school to propelling them forward in their careers, sport has been shown to positively influence and equip young women with transferable skills such as leadership, teamwork and resilience, that will help throughout each stage of life.
IDEA
With LFC’s women’s title deciding clash landing on International Women’s Day it was the perfect opportunity to level the playing field and inspire young women. Leveraging player power with endorsements from the men’s and women’s first team stars, we rallied together in support of the women’s game to encourage participation and unlock the potential of women in football.
